The O'Fallon
Grand Prix race course has not
changed for 2009. The full length is
22.5 miles. There are 12 right and
11 left turns each marked with a
number. On race day a volunteer will
be stationed on each corner
directing racers. On the first,
third and last turns police are
stationed for traffic control. The length of
Kyle Road which holds the
start/finish line is closed to
vehicle traffic during racing.
There are there are four climbs of
substance and three more
intermediate climbs all of which are
preceded by fast down-hills. There
is a feed zone about 1500 meters
from the finish line and no attacks
are allowed prior to the final lap.
There is a sprint point on Witte
road approximately 500 meters past
turn eight. |
