Welcome to the 2nd Annual
O'Fallon Grand Prix!
The OGP returns for its
sophomore year and the race is going to be better than ever. With the
addition of a family fun
race in partnership with the
O'Fallon YMCA and a
kids bike rodeo
jointly sponsored by the O'Fallon Kiwanis and O'Fallon Police Department, there
are now events for the entire family. Central Christian Church (race day
headquarters) will again be serving their mouthwatering cooked-to-order
breakfast, a satisfying lunch plus energizing snacks throughout the day. This
race is part of the illustrious
Illinois Cup Series and
also qualifies for MOBAR
points.

Race Details
Twenty-two and one half miles of ups,
downs, twists and turns on the beautiful back roads of St. Clair and
Madison counties. There are several short but formidable hills with
almost 1000 feet in elevation gain. The course gives novices and experts
alike plenty to test their skills, including a mid-course sprint for
primes. Race day registration begins at 8:00 a.m.; racing starts
at 11:00 am. Look for the start/finish line at the 200 block Kyle Road

Training Rides Announced
Beginning on
Monday April 13 MEC is doing a
series of training rides on the race
course. The rides will go every
other Monday until the race; April
27, May 11, and the final one on May
25. On 4/13 the ride will
start at 5:30 p.m. All subsequent
rides will start at 6:00. The rides
start from the O'Fallon YMCA at 284
Seven Hills Road in O'Fallon. It is
a great way to get to know the
course and prepare for the race.

3/20/09 - Hilton Garden Inn Signs
on as Contributing Sponsor!
The Hilton Garden Inn O'Fallon/Green
Mount has signed on as a
contributing sponsor for the
O'Fallon Grand Prix. To kick off
their sponsorship the Hilton is
offering racers a nightly rate of
$80 which includes a full sit-down,
cooked to order breakfast in the
restaurant. This rate is good for
both Friday and Saturday nights. In
addition to the special rate, the
hotel is offering Friday night
FREE to the registered guest who
has travelled the furthest to race
in the O'Fallon Grand Prix. See the
